The Portal Chair is a simple study of how stripe pattern behaves in space. Both sides of the chair share the same blueprint if viewed from a one-point perspective, while the front shifts drastically in all other viewpoints. The chair is made purely from solid wood—African mahogany & hard maple.

The back, the front, and the seat sections within were all CNC milled first. Then they were assembled with dowels running through the two axes.
